Sino Mania of "THE HINDU"?
This is note on Media watch: It tells us how to observe the news/inclination of different news media. Watch this image carefully. In the front page of the newspaper "THE HINDU", first 4 items are related to Indo-China relationship. (See the section inside the Box). Moreover, its says "new!" in red colour to catch our eyes. But, its already a fortnight or more since our PM visited China. Usually the news items in the box would remain in there for long imte. These are not the ones which change daily. It means the probability of anybody reading these news items are higher than the other news. This must flash us an important question. Why is "THE HINDU" promoting Indo-Sino news over the others? The answer is quite simple, but I would leave it to the reader to do a small bit of research on the editor of this news paper & his background.Time & again I keep stating this and I repeat: Not all the news that appears on the news maedia are to be taken as absolute truth. It should be weighed by looking at the media's intention/inclination/credibility etc...

Bharata Ratna for a person who disrespected Bharata maata?
It could not have been worse.. NDTV has come up with an opinion poll which has M F Hussian as one of the contendors of Bharata Ratna. A Person who has a case against him for desecrating Bharata maata is put in contention for the highest honour by the Indian Govt. In a country where the nation is respected as Goddess, NDTV has hurt the sentiments of Hindus, in fact all true nationalists. It is not the first time that the news channel has taken an Anti-Hindu/Anti-National stance. The channel traditionally known to side the CPI(M) tried everything run an anti Govt. in Gujarat for the past 5 years, pitched up its Anti-Modi campaigning during its recent elections, sided Brinda Karat in Baba Ramdev Yoga/Medicine issue and the incidents are countless.
What should we do? Do not respond to such opinion polls, ignore them. When you get an opportunity, make it a point to openly state that its wrong to put people like MF Hussain in limelight. And finally, whenever you watch/read a news from such a partisan media, take it with a pinch of salt...
